Bale up for dragon-slayer flick
Christian Bale is considering a career in dragon-slaying.
Bale ("American Psycho") is in talks to star in "Reign Of Fire," an action movie set in England and directed by Rob Bowman ("The X-Files"), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film follows the story of a young British man (Bale) whose mother is killed by the dragons that are dominating the Earth. The man eventually becomes a "fire chief", or leader, of a group of dragon survivors. Bale's character then teams up with an American dragon-slayer, and the two try to eliminate the queen dragon.
The movie is expected to begin filming in February in the U.K.
Bale got his start in films as a young boy, starring in movies such as "Empire Of The Sun" before moving on to play a murderous man working on Wall Street in this year's "American Psycho".

Emily Watson and Taye Diggs are to co-star in the film, which will be written and directed by "Thomas Crown Affair's" Kurt Wimmer.
Principle photography is to begin in Europe next month, Variety reported.

Brit Bale's American accent struggle
American Psycho star Christian Bale used a US accent for the film - even when the cameras weren't rolling.
The actor said he wasn't comfortable switching from his English accent to a US one "so I kept it up all the time on the set and that really helped".
He added that changing accents also meant using different muscles which led to a build-up of saliva. "I wanted to sort that problem out before I sprayed the entire cast."
